The role

You will lead the AI side of our product: the systems that read, understand, translate, and match public tenders at European scale. You own features end to end — problem framing, design, implementation, evaluation, and production operation — and you set the bar for how AI work is done at BOND.

What you will do

• Design and ship the AI features at the core of the product
• Own quality: build evaluation practices so changes ship with evidence
• Set technical direction and make build-vs-skip decisions with the founders
• Mentor other engineers and raise the team's AI/LLM engineering craft
• Balance quality, cost, and speed in a product with real users and real scale

What you bring

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with several years shipping AI/ML-powered products to production
• Strong engineering fundamentals and the ability to own systems end to end
• Sound judgment: you know when a simple approach beats a sophisticated one
• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions
• Fluent English; German is a plus
